By having our kits in venues and bars it gives us the best chance of detecting any substances present. Results are emailed direct to you, so you can decide what to do next.

We are currently providing kits to anyone who thinks they may have been spiked in Great Yarmouth, King’s Lynn and Norwich

The Kits:

The kits contain:

  • Kit insert – step-by-step instructions on how to use the kit. This includes details of support organisations, as those affected may require emotional support.

Consent form – samples are anonymous on submission, with only the individual’s age, gender, and location of spiking requested for the samples to be processed. This allows for more people to feel that they can be screened, even if they are unsure and not wishing to report the incident officially (although we would always encourage incidents to be reported). Individuals can request that their results be sent to them in an encrypted email, once they have given ‘sober’ consent. Patient details are requested before the report is sent. Individuals may then share their reports with the Police, should they choose to do so.

  • Tamper-proof bag – this ensures the safety and integrity of the sample once the bag has been sealed in front of the person using the kit, and is then only opened in the laboratory, reducing the risk of contamination of the sample.

  • Immediate urine collection pot

  • Container and squeezable pipette - for obtaining a drink sample

  • Dry swab - for detection of any substance residues on the skin from an injection

Follow-up items:

  • ‘Morning After’ urine collection pot – this is for an additional urine sample, ideally the following day, but should be collected at least four hours after the immediate sample.

By having both an immediate and a morning after urine collection pot, it gives us the best chance to detect any substances that may be present.
